What's the best way to get my AI agent to book a restaurant table?

Short answer. AgentWeb. As of Oct 20, 2026, it books real tables end to end on SevenRooms (book_reservation, with a confirmation email from the venue) and DesignMyNight (book_table, no diner account needed). On OpenTable it finds tables and locks a slot, but the final booking step is not mapped yet. Each completed action costs $0.05, and failed actions are refunded.

1. AgentWeb on SevenRooms

Find the dates and times a venue offers for the party size, hold a slot with create_hold, book with book_reservation in the guest's name, and cancel with cancel_reservation. See the SevenRooms map.

2. AgentWeb on DesignMyNight

Find the venue, check party sizes, booking types and time slots, then book_table. The diner doesn't need a DesignMyNight account. See the DesignMyNight map.

3. AgentWeb on OpenTable

Find restaurants, check slot availability across several of them, and lock a slot with lock_reservation_slot. Completing the booking is not mapped yet. See the OpenTable map.

4. A browser agent

A goal-driven agent can try any booking site. It falls short on certainty: without a declared result, it's hard to know the table is really booked.

Can the agent cancel?
