Can an AI agent book a restaurant table on SevenRooms?

Short answer. Yes, through AgentWeb. As of Oct 22, 2026, the SevenRooms map (version 0.3.0) gives your agent 15 actions. It can find the dates and time slots a venue offers for a party size, hold a slot, book the reservation in the guest's name (the venue emails a confirmation) and cancel it. With the diner's account connected, it can also read their reservations across SevenRooms restaurants. The map is marked partial, so your agent checks list_actions for the venue's flow before it promises.

What your agent can do on SevenRooms

Action	What it does
`create_hold`	Places a temporary five-minute hold on one time slot for a party. A hold is not a reservation.
`cancel_hold`	Releases a hold before it lapses, so the table goes back to other guests.
`book_reservation`	Books a real table in the guest's name, using a live hold. No SevenRooms login needed. The venue emails the guest a confirmation.
`cancel_reservation`	Cancels a reservation. Real, immediate and cannot be undone. The venue emails the guest.

What your agent can read first

`get_upgrade_categories`	The upgrade categories a venue offers at checkout (set menus, feasts, champagne). `min_quantity_type` decides whether a choice is required: NUMBER_OF_GUESTS.
`get_upgrades`	The upgrade items a venue offers at checkout, each with its `category_id`, `name`, `price` (0 for a free choice such as an a la carte menu) and description.
`get_reservation`	The full record of one reservation, as the venue's manage page shows it.
`get_profile`	The connected diner's SevenRooms guest profile, the one every SevenRooms restaurant sees and the booking widget prefills at checkout.
`list_reservations`	Every reservation SevenRooms links to the connected diner's profile, across all SevenRooms restaurants, newest first, past and upcoming together.
`list_saved_cards`	The payment cards saved in the diner's SevenRooms wallet, used to fill a venue's card step at checkout.
`list_memberships`	The venue memberships on the diner's SevenRooms profile (a venue's members club or loyalty tier, which can unlock members-only times).
`list_preference_options`	The fixed list of dietary preferences or allergies a SevenRooms profile can carry, the vocabulary behind get_profile's `preferences`. `preference_type` is.

The person signs in once on SevenRooms through AgentWeb's hosted login, started with agentweb_start_connection and confirmed with agentweb_poll_connection. Your agent never sees the password. Actions then run on that person's own account, and they can disconnect at any time.

What it does not cover yet

Changing an existing reservation (time or party size) is not mapped. Cancel and rebook instead.
Slots that need a card, carry a charge or are request-only can't be booked through the map yet. book_reservation refuses them before sending anything.
The map is marked partial.

Does the guest get a real confirmation?

Yes. book_reservation creates a real reservation at the venue in the guest's name, and the venue emails them a confirmation.

Can my agent cancel a booking?

Yes. cancel_reservation cancels it immediately and the venue emails the guest. It cannot be undone, so the agent confirms with the user first.

What does it cost?

Each completed action costs $0.05, paid from prepaid blocks of $25, $50 or $100 that never expire. Failed actions are refunded.
