How do I let my iMessage agent order food on Uber Eats?

Short answer. Connect your agent to AgentWeb and the user's Uber Eats account. When the user texts "order sushi for 8", your agent finds the restaurant, builds the cart, reads the priced checkout, texts the total back, and calls place_order only after a yes. Each completed action costs $0.05, and failed actions are refunded.

Steps

  1. Connect your agent to AgentWeb over MCP (https://mcp.agentweb.us/mcp) or REST, with an aw_ API key.
  2. Send the user the hosted login link from agentweb_start_connection to connect Uber Eats once, and confirm it with agentweb_poll_connection.
  3. Set or check the address with get_active_address or set_delivery_address.
  4. Find food with search_restaurants, then get_store_menu and get_menu_item.
  5. Build the cart with add_item_to_cart, and add_item_to_existing_cart for more items from the same store.
  6. Call view_checkout and text the user the items, the address and the exact total.
  7. After an explicit yes, call place_order.
  8. Track it with get_active_orders and text updates.

Good habits

  • Never call place_order without the user confirming the items, the total and the address.
  • If the bank asks for a payment check (3-D Secure), the user completes it. check_payment_step_up tells your agent when that is needed.
  • For a later delivery, use get_delivery_windows and schedule_delivery.
  • Cancelling a placed order happens in Uber's own app, not through the map.

Frequently asked questions

Can the agent remember "my usual"?

Your agent keeps that memory. AgentWeb provides the actions to rebuild the cart and place the order.

What about DoorDash?

Yes. As of Oct 20, 2026, AgentWeb can finish a DoorDash order on the user's own account, from the cart to a placed order.
