Can an AI agent order food on Uber Eats?
Short answer. Yes, through AgentWeb. As of Oct 22, 2026, AgentWeb's Uber Eats map (version 0.16.0) gives your agent 24 typed actions on the user's own Uber Eats account: 6 that complete things (add to cart, set the address, schedule delivery, place the order) and 18 that read what the agent needs first (restaurants, menus, the priced checkout, live order tracking).
place_ordercharges the user's saved card, so your agent shows the total fromview_checkoutand gets a yes first. Each completed action costs $0.05, and failed actions are refunded.

What your agent can do on Uber Eats
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
add_item_to_cart | Creates a cart with one item and handles the item's options for you. |
add_item_to_existing_cart | Adds an item to a cart that already exists for the same store. |

How the login works
The person signs in once on Uber Eats through AgentWeb's hosted login, started with agentweb_start_connection and confirmed with agentweb_poll_connection. Your agent never sees the password. Actions then run on that person's own account, and they can disconnect at any time.
Try it
curl -s https://mcp.agentweb.us/api/execute \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $AGENTWEB_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Idempotency-Key: ubereats-restaurants-1" \
-d '{"domain":"ubereats.com","action":"search_restaurants","params":{"query":"sushi"}}'
Parameter names shown are illustrative. Your agent gets the exact schema for every action from AgentWeb's list_actions tool.
What it does not cover yet
- Cancelling a placed order is not mapped. Cancellation happens in Uber's own app or site.
- When a payment needs a bank check (3-D Secure), the person has to complete it.
check_payment_step_uptells the agent when that is needed.
Frequently asked questions
Can my agent place the order without asking me?
It can call place_order, but AgentWeb's guidance to agents is to summarize the order and get the user's approval before any paid or irreversible action. Show the total from view_checkout, then place the order.
Does it work for groceries on Uber Eats?
Yes. For supermarket stores, get_store_menu returns the aisles and browse_store_aisle returns the items in each one, which then go into the cart like any other item.
Can the agent track the delivery?
Yes. get_active_orders returns the orders in progress with their live delivery state.
What does it cost?
Each completed action costs $0.05, paid from prepaid blocks of $25, $50 or $100 that never expire. Failed actions are refunded.
Which AI tools can use it?
Any agent that speaks MCP or HTTP. Add https://mcp.agentweb.us/mcp as a remote MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex or Grok, or call the REST endpoint directly.
