How do I let Cursor's agent take actions on websites?

Short answer. Add AgentWeb to .cursor/mcp.json. Cursor's agent then gets typed web actions on 1,462 real sites (as of Oct 20, 2026), like posting on X, updating Crunchbase lists and deals, or sending LinkedIn messages from your own account, at $0.05 per completed action with failed actions refunded.

Set it up

  1. Add this to .cursor/mcp.json (create it if missing): { "mcpServers": { "agentweb": { "url": "https://mcp.agentweb.us/mcp" } } }
  2. Restart Cursor and ask the agent to set up AgentWeb. It calls agentweb_start_claim_link_signup and shows you one sign-in link.
  3. Once it has your aw_ key, add "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer aw_YOUR_KEY" } to the agentweb entry and restart.
  4. Ask for a task, and the agent checks list_actions for the site, then calls execute.

Frequently asked questions

Can the agent act on my logged-in accounts?

Yes. It starts a hosted login with agentweb_start_connection, and you sign in once. The agent never sees the password.

Is this better than letting the agent drive a browser?

For mapped sites, yes. A typed action returns a structured result, and you pay only when it completes.
