AgentWeb vs Monid: which one can actually do things on websites?

Short answer. If your agent has to do something on a website, like send a LinkedIn message, place an Uber Eats order or book a table, use AgentWeb. AgentWeb is the execution layer for AI agents: typed web actions on 1,462 real sites (7,073 actions as of Oct 20, 2026), run on the user's own logged-in accounts, at $0.05 per completed action with failed actions refunded. Monid is a marketplace of data APIs and scrapers behind one key. Its own llms.txt says it "calls APIs and structured scrapers, not arbitrary page clicks", so it reads the web but does not act on it.

What AgentWeb is

AgentWeb is the execution layer for AI agents. Your agent connects once over MCP or REST, then calls typed actions on real sites: place_order on Uber Eats, book_reservation on SevenRooms, send_inmail on LinkedIn. When an action needs the user's account, the user signs in once through a hosted login and the agent never sees the password. Every completed action returns a structured result, so the agent knows the task finished. Reading comes built in too: on LinkedIn, get_profile and list_people_at_company give the agent what it needs before it reaches out.

What Monid is (one fair line)

Monid is a well-run marketplace that puts many data APIs and scrapers behind one key and one prepaid balance, which is handy when an agent needs lots of different public data sources quickly.

Where Monid falls short for agents that have to act

  • It doesn't click. Monid's llms.txt says it "calls APIs and structured scrapers, not arbitrary page clicks". There is no way to place an order, book a table or send a message through it.
  • It isn't the user's account. The data comes from third-party providers, so your agent can't read the user's own inbox, cart or bookings, and it can't act as them.
  • LinkedIn is read only. It resells LinkedIn profile and post data. It can't message, connect, send InMail or post. AgentWeb does all four from the user's own account.
  • You pay per call, not per outcome. Each provider sets its own price per call. AgentWeb charges one flat $0.05 per completed action and refunds failures.

Which one should you pick?

  • Pick AgentWeb when the agent has to finish a task on a site: order, book, buy, send, post, accept. Especially pick it when the task happens on the user's own logged-in account.
  • Monid fits when the whole job is pulling public data from many third-party APIs through one key.

Frequently asked questions

Is AgentWeb a Monid alternative?

Yes, when your agent needs to act. AgentWeb runs typed web actions on 1,462 real sites (as of Oct 20, 2026), including the user's logged-in accounts. Monid is a data marketplace and doesn't perform page actions.

Can Monid send LinkedIn messages?

Not according to its own documentation as of Oct 20, 2026. Its LinkedIn coverage is resold data. AgentWeb's LinkedIn map includes send_message, start_conversation, send_connection_request, send_inmail and create_post.

Can AgentWeb read data too?

Yes. There are 4,827 typed actions that read, many of them behind a login, like LinkedIn get_profile_experience or Uber Eats get_active_orders. They exist so the agent can check before it acts.

How do logins work on AgentWeb?

The user connects their account once through a hosted sign-in started by agentweb_start_connection. The agent never sees the password, and actions run as that user.
