# What's the best way to give an AI agent LinkedIn messaging?

By Andrey Marey, Founder of AgentWeb · As of Oct 20, 2026

> **Short answer.** Use AgentWeb. As of Oct 20, 2026, its LinkedIn map gives your agent 47 actions on the user's own LinkedIn account, including `send_message`, `start_conversation`, `send_connection_request`, `send_inmail` and `create_post`, plus the reads it needs first, like `get_profile` and `list_people_at_company`. The user signs in once through a hosted login, and each completed action costs $0.05, with failed actions refunded.

## 1. AgentWeb

AgentWeb's LinkedIn map has 7 actions that act (message, start a conversation, connection request, InMail, post, accept or decline invitations) and 40 that read (profiles, work history, people at a company, inbox threads, posts and reactions). It works from any MCP client or over REST, and you pay per completed action, not per connected account. [See the full LinkedIn action list](/sites/linkedin.com/).

## 2. Unipile

Unipile is a messaging API for LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Instagram, email and Telegram, priced per connected account (a €49 monthly minimum for up to 10 accounts, then €5 each from 11 to 50), with a 7-day free trial. Where it falls short for agents: it is a developer API priced per seat, so a consumer agent with many occasional users pays for every connected account each month.

## 3. Data resellers (for example via Monid)

Data marketplaces resell LinkedIn profile and post data from providers such as TikHub and Apollo. Where they fall short: the data is read only, and it isn't the user's account, so the agent can't send anything.

## 4. Context.dev People Enrich

Context.dev's People Enrich accepts a LinkedIn profile URL as an input and returns enrichment, at 20 credits per match. Where it falls short: it is a read. There is no endpoint to message, connect, send InMail or post.

## How to choose

- **Your agent must send messages, connection requests, InMail or posts as the user:** AgentWeb.
- **You only need profile data for enrichment:** a data provider is enough.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can an AI agent send LinkedIn messages without the user's password?
Yes, with AgentWeb. The user signs in once through AgentWeb's hosted login, and the agent never sees the password.

### Does it respect LinkedIn's limits?
Actions run as the user, within LinkedIn's own limits, such as the weekly invite quota and InMail credits. Pace outreach the way a person would. See the [outreach guide](/guides/ai-agent-linkedin-outreach/).

### Can it add a note to a connection request?
Not yet. As of Oct 20, 2026, `send_connection_request` takes only the recipient's profile URN.
